The Chicago Bears has expressed interest in free agent running back Mark Ingram II, according to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport. The Bears are not the only team interested in his services.

Since the Combine, it appears that the Bears are willing to move on from running back Jordan Howard. If he did sign with the Bears, he would become a tandem, with Tarik Cohen.
The New Orleans Saints will attempt to re-sign Ingram. If he does return, he would be part of the tandem with Alvin Kamara.
The 29-year-old could seek a primary role with the Saints or his new team. In addition, he could seek a salary that the Saints could not match.
The Hackensack, New Jersey native was a first-round draft pick by the Saints in the 2011 NFL Draft. He spent the last eight-years with the Saints.
This season, he served a four-game suspension. After returning, he appeared in 12 games, including six starts.
Ingram II had 138 carries for 645 yards and six touchdowns. He also had 21 receptions for 170 yards and a touchdown.
The 645 rushing yards were the fewest since the 2013 season when he had a career-low 386 yards.
In his career, he has made 106 appearances, including 64 starts. He has 1,321 carries for 6,007 yards and 50 touchdowns.
He also has 228 receptions for 1,598 yards and five touchdowns.
