The San Antonio Commanders are now on their first two-game win streak. The Commanders defeated the Arizona Hotshots, 29-25, on Sunday night at Sun Devil Stadium in Tempe, Arizona.
The Commanders now have a 3-2 record. They are now tied with the San Diego Fleet with the best record in the Western Conference.
Besides defeating the Hotshots, San Antonio also defeated the Birmingham Iron last weekend.

The Hotshots have fallen to 2-3 on the season. They are on a three-game losing streak.
Arizona is now the third-best team in the Western Conference. Only the Salt Lake Stallions have a worse record at 1-4.
Hotshots quarterback John Wolford went 19 of 33 for 246 yards. He had two touchdown passes and three interceptions.
Tim Cook had 12 carries for 33 yards and a touchdown. Rashad Ross had five receptions for 106 yards and a touchdown.
Commanders quarterback Logan Woodside went 21 of 27 for 290 yards. He had two touchdowns and one interception.
Kenneth Farrow had 12 carries for 25 yards and a touchdown. Mekale McKay had five receptions for 91 yards and a touchdown.
The Hotshots had a huge second half. They scored 25 points in the second half.
The Commanders scored just three second-half points.

Wolford hit Ross for a 45-yard touchdown pass. Following the score, Wolford scored on a two-point conversion.
Wolford also hit Thomas Duarte for a four-yard touchdown pass. Following the Duarte score, Wolford hit Ross for the two-point conversion.
Cook also scored a one-yard rushing touchdown. Nick Folk made a 23-yard field goal.
Commanders’ kicker Nick Rose scored their lone points. He made a 21-yard field goal.
San Antonio led 26-0 at halftime. Woodside threw a 54-yard touchdown reception to McKay. Following the score, Woodside converted the two-point conversion.
Woodside also hit Stehly Reden for a five-yard touchdown reception. Farrow scored on a one-yard rushing touchdown. Derron Smith scored on a 66-yard interception return for a touchdown.
