The New York Jets have released running back Isaiah Crowell. He spent one season with the team.
Crowell is released after the team signed starter Le’Veon Bell. He signed a four-year, $52.5 million deal on Wednesday.
The 26-year-old Columbus, Georgia native will be looking for his third team in his sixth season. Besides playing for the Jets, he also played four seasons with the Cleveland Browns.
The undrafted back appeared in 13 games with the Jets, including six starts. He had 143 carries for 685 yards and six touchdowns.
In addition, Crowell also had 21 receptions for 152 yards.
In the past five seasons, Crowell has appeared in 77 games, including 51 starts. He has 880 carries for 3,803 rushing yards and 27 touchdowns.
He also has 117 receptions for 922 yards and an additional touchdown.
