Butner snags second No. 1 qualifier at 2019 Denso Four-Wide in Vegas

Bo Butner has claimed his second No. 1 qualifier of the season. He will lead the field on Sunday at the 20th annual DENSO Spark Plugs NHRA Four-Wide Nationals at The Strip at Las Vegas Motor Speedway in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Butner, driving his Jim Butner Auto Group sponsored Pro Stock, went 6.648 at 207.46 mph. His pass from Friday held up on Saturday in able for him to secure the No. 1 qualifier.

“We have a good car. We’ve had a good car since I sat in it. We’re just out here having fun. That’s probably one reason we’ve had a little bit of success. This isn’t our life but we do have fun and enjoy it,” said Butner. “Now we kind of know how to win and I’ve learned a lot. It’s still a good race car. It went down there four times and we only have to go down three tomorrow so I’m very happy and can’t wait.”

In the quad featuring Butner, it’ll also include Jeff Isbell, Deric Kramer, and Fernando Cuadra. Butner will face Isbell, while Kramer will face Cuadra.

Isbell went 6.965 at 198.76 mph, while Kramer went 6.669 at 206.48 mph, and Cuadra went 6.671 at 205.47.

In the second qua, it’ll be Jeg Coughlin Jr., Alan Prusiensky, Erica Enders-Stevens, and Jason Line. Coughlin and Prusiensky will be one pairing and Enders-Stevens and Line will be the second.

Coughlin Jr. went 6.652 at 206.86 mph, while Prusiensky went 6.770 at 203.00 mph. Enders-Stevens went 6.668 at 206.54 mph and Line went 6.679 at 206.13 mph.

The third quad will feature Greg Anderson, Joey Grose, Alex Laughlin, and Steve Graham. Anderson will face Grose, while Laughlin and Graham will be the second pairing.

Anderson went 6.664 at 206.29 mph, while Grose went 6.743 at 204.82 mph. Laughlin went 6.666 at 206.29 mph and Graham went 6.689 at 206.29 mph.

The final quad will feature Matt Hartford, Shane Tucker, Rodger Brogdon, and Chris McGaha. Hartford and Tucker will be a pairing and Brogdon and McGaha will be another.

Hartford went 6.665 at 206.51 mph, while Tucker went 6.725 at 204.57 mph. Brogdon went 6.665 at 206.39 mph and McGaha went 6.707 at 205.57 mph.
