Dallas Mavericks legend Dirk Nowitzki was one of two future Hall of Famers, who retired on Wednesday night. Besides the seven-foot German, Miami Heat legend Dwyane Wade also played his final contest.
He also bested Nowitzki, who had a double-double in his final game. He had 20 points and 10 rebounds for the 40-year-old.
Wade had a triple double against the Brooklyn Nets at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York. He had 25 points, 11 rebounds, and 10 assists in 36 minutes.

His 25 points were a team-high. The final assist came to Udonis Haslem, who is also retiring from the game following this contest.
The 37-year-old Chicago, Illinois native was the fifth overall pick in the 2003 NBA Draft by the Heat. He played 15 seasons with the Heat, Chicago Bulls, and the Cleveland Cavaliers.
He appeared in 948 games with the Heat. He appeared in 60 games with the Bulls and 46 games with the Cavaliers.
This season, he appeared in 72 games with two starts. He started the final two games of his career.

He had 55 points in his final two games with 30 points in his finale in Miami and 25 points in Brooklyn. His season-best was 35 points that he scored against the Toronto Raptors on Nov. 25.
With Wade and Nowitzki stepping away into retirement, this now allows a new group of young players to take over where they left off. With the young players in the league today, the NBA is in great hands as a new group of players decide to pursue the elevation that Wade and Nowitzki had in the league.
