Vasiliy Lomachenko made quick work of his challenger on Friday night. He defeated challenger Anthony Crolla in the fourth-round knockout at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, California.

Lomachenko retains his WBA, WBO, and The Ring lightweight championships with this win. This is his second straight title defense for the WBA and The Ring lightweight belts.

In addition, this was his first title defense for the WBO belt.

“I want to fight with Mikey Garcia, but we’ll see. I don’t know,” Lomachenko said. “I stay at 135 as long as it’s possible, and I want to unify all {the} titles.”

With the win, he improved to 13-1 in his boxing career. Lomachenko has won 12 straight bouts. Ten of his wins have come via knockout.

This was his second win in Los Angeles. He also defeated Miguel Marriaga on Aug. 5, 2017 at the Microsoft Theater.

Crolla fell to 34-7 in his boxing career. He had his three-fight win streak snapped with this loss.

This was his first loss since March 25, 2017 when he lost via unanimous decision to Jorge Linares at Manchester Arena in Manchester, England.

He was never a treat to defeat Lomachenko. Crolla was a former WBA lightweight champion.

This was Crolla’s second fight in the United States. He previously fought in the US when he defeated Juan Montiel at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Paradise, Nevada on Sept. 17, 2011.
