Clark signs five-year deal with the Chiefs through 2023

Frank Clark has signed a massive contract with the Kansas City Chiefs. He has agreed to a five-year, $105.5 million deal.

He receives $63.5 million in guaranteed money.

This deal is greater than the one that the Dallas Cowboys gave to defensive end DeMarcus Lawrence. He received a five-year, $105 million deal.

While Clark’s deal was greater overall, Lawrence received more in guaranteed money. He received $65 million from this new deal in guaranteed money.

Just days before the 2019 NFL Draft, the Chiefs acquired a new pass rusher. They made a trade with the Seattle Seahawks to acquire franchise-tagged defensive end Frank Clark.

The Seahawks will receive the Chiefs 2019 first-round draft pick. In addition, Kansas City has two second-round draft picks.

They will retain the better of the two second-round draft picks, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter. The lower of the two second-round draft picks will go to Seattle, as part of this Clark deal.

Plus, the teams exchanged third-round draft picks this year.

The 25-year-old Cleveland, Ohio native was a second-round draft pick by the Seahawks in the 2015 NFL Draft. He spent four seasons in Seattle.

This past season, he had 41 tackles, including 10 tackles for a loss and 27 quarterback hits. He also had 13.0 sacks, one interception, three forced fumbles, two fumble recoveries, and two pass deflections.

Over the past two seasons, he has made 32 appearances, including 28 starts. He had 52 tackles, including 20 tackles for a loss and 48 quarterback hits.

Clark also had 22.0 sacks, one interception, five forced fumbles, three fumble recoveries, and four pass deflections.

In his four-year career, he has made 62 appearances, including 33 starts. He had 92 tackles, including 35 tackles for a loss, and 72 quarterback hits.

Clark also had 35.0 sacks, one interception, eight forced fumbles, four fumble recoveries, and six pass deflections.
