Mike Salinas likes Four-Wide Racing. At the second Four-Wide in April, the San Jose, California is the No. 1 qualifier.
He went 3.687 at 327.43 mph in his Scrappers Racing Top Fuel Dragster on Friday to claim the top spot at the 10th annual NGK Spark Plugs NHRA Four-Wide Nationals at zMAX Dragway in Concord, North Carolina. This is his third No. 1 qualifier of his career, including the second in three races this month.

“We knew (on Friday) that the track might not hold much,” said Salinas. “Alan (Johnson, tuner) is a genius at what he’s doing and the nice part about it is the car did exactly what we wanted it to do, getting us into the number one spot. All in all I think we had a great run right off the trailer from our disappointment in Houston.”
Salinas will be in a quad with Cameron Ferré. Rookie Austin Prock will also be in the quad, as he faces Clay Millican.
The second quad will feature Antron Brown featuring Dom Lagana. Brittany Force will also be in the pairing with Scott Palmer.
Terry McMillen will be in the third quad as he competes against Audrey Worm, who is making her 2019 debut. Steve Torrence will also face Spencer Massey.
The final quad will feature Doug Kalitta facing Lex Joon. Leah Pritchett will also be facing Richie Crampton in the other pairing in the quad.
