Read becomes first female to win Showdown at World Finals XX

The Monster Jam World Finals XX is taking place at Camping World Stadium for the first-time in Orlando, Florida this weekend. On Friday, it included Speedster Racing, ATV Racing, and Speedster Obstacle Course.

In addition, it also included Showdown, 2 Wheel Skills Challenge, and racing action.

In Showdown, Tony Ochs in Soldier Fortune Black Ops defeated Kaylyn Migues in Monster Mutt Dalmatian. Nick Pagliarulo — who was one of two men to receive the Rookie of the Year Award on Thursday — received a bye run. Kysten Anderson in Grave Digger was not able to compete.

Linsey Read in Scooby-Doo then defeated Mark List in El Toro Loco. Blake Granger in Max-D defeated Bernard Lyght in Alien Invasion.

In the semi-finals, Kraken (Pagliarulo) defeated Soldier Fortune Black Ops (Ochs). Following the win, Kraken rolled over and was not able to advance. Scooby-Doo (Read) defeated Max-D (Granger).

Scooby-Doo (Read) defeated Soldier Fortune Black Ops (Ochs) in the final round. Read became the first female champion to win the Showdown competition.

In the 2 Wheel Skills Challenge, Tom Meents won in Max-D Fire with a 9.548. Tristan England in EarthShaker was second with a 9.355. Brandon Vinson was third in Grave Digger with a 9.113.

In the final event of the evening, Monster Mutt Dalmatian Ice (Cynthia Gauthier) defeated Grave Digger (Vinson). Zombie Fire (Bari Musawwir) defeated Wildflower (Rosalee Ramer).

Fresh off her Showdown victory, Scooby-Doo (Read) defeated Dragon Ice (Jon Zimmer). Following the win, Read was not able to compete and Dragon Ice moved onto the second round.

Bakugan Dragonoid (Camden Murphy) defeated Grave Digger (Randy Brown). Lucas Oil Crusader (Lindsey Weenk) defeated El Toro Loco (Becky McDonough). Bounty Hunter (Jimmy Creten) defeated BroDozer (Heavy D).

The first round continued with Grave Digger (Morgan Kane) defeating Whiplash (Brianna Mahon). Great Clips Mohawk Warrior (Bryce Kenny) defeated Avenger (Jim Koehler).

In the second round of racing, Grave Digger (Tyler Menninga) defeated Monster Mutt Dalmatian Ice (Gauthier). Zombie Fire (Musawwir) defeated Megalodon (Justin Sipes). Dragon Ice (Zimmer) defeated Max-D Fire (Meents).

Bakugan Dragonoid (Murphy) defeated Max-D (Neil Elliott). Son-uva Digger (Ryan Anderson) defeated Lucas Oil Crusader (Weenks). Bounty Hunter (Creten) defeated EarthShaker (England).

Grave Digger (Kane) defeated Monster Energy (Todd LeDuc). Also, Grave Digger (Adam Anderson) defeated Great Clips Mohawk Warrior (Kenny).

Zombie Fire (Musawwir) defeated Grave Digger (Menninga) to kick off the third round of racing. Bakugan Dragonoid (Murphy) defeated Dragon Ice (Zimmer). Bounty Hunter (Creten) defeated Son-uva Digger (Anderson), while Grave Digger (Anderson) defeated Grave Digger (Kane).

In the semi-finals, Zombie Fire (Musawwir) defeated Bakugan Dragonoid (Murphy) after Murphy red-lighted. Bounty Hunter (Creten) defeated Grave Digger (Anderson).

The final round saw Bounty Hunter (Creten) defeat Zombie Fire (Musawwir), as Musawwir red-lighted.
