Lewis Hamilton won the most prestigious event on the Formula One schedule on Sunday. He won the Grand Prix of Monaco at Circuit de Monaco in Monte Carlo, Monaco.

This is the third time that Hamilton has won this event in his racing career. He also won in 2016 and in 2008.

In the event on Sunday, he led all 78 laps. Late in the race, with three laps to go, he had a collision with another car, but was able to continue.

Sebastian Vettel — who is a two-time winner of this event — finished second. He was 2.602 seconds behind Hamilton.

Valtteri Bottas was the third place finisher. He was 3.162 seconds behind the winner.

Max Verstappen was the fourth place finisher. Pierre Gasly finished out the top five.
