Kramer remained No. 1 qualifier on Saturday at 2019 Summit NHRA Nationals

American Ethanol Pro Stock driver Deric Kramer remained the No. 1 qualifier on Saturday at the Summit Racing Equipment NHRA Nationals. Kramer went 6.559 at 210.18 mph on Friday for the top spot at Summit Motorsports Park in Norwalk, Ohio.

This is Kramer’s first No. 1 qualifier of the season. He also won the most recent Pro Stock event.

“We made a good run,” Kramer said. “We went back, we looked at it, we thought we could have been a little better. Ultimately, that’s our goal at the end of week, whether we qualify No. 1 or we qualify No. 16, we want to look at our runs and want to make sure they’re the best we can do. And tomorrow, I think we have the opportunity of going a couple of rounds and improving on what we’re doing.”

The Sterling, Colorado native will face Shane Tucker in the first-round of eliminations. The Australian, who now resides in Statesville, North Carolina, went 6.841 at 201.70 mph.

Total Seal sponsored Matt Hartford is the No. 2 qualifier. The Scottsdale, Arizona native went 6.559 at 209.59 mph.

Hartford will face Kenny Delco in the first-round of eliminations. The East Setauket, New York native went 6.720 at 206.20 mph.

Harlow Sammons sponsored Chris McGaha is the No. 3 qualifier. The Odessa, Texas native went 6.560 at 211.00 mph.

McGaha will face Wally Stroupe in the first-round of eliminations. The Grover, North Carolina native went 6.667 at 208.20 mph.

Summit Racing Equipment sponsored Jason Line is the No. 4 qualifier. The Troutman, North Carolina native went 6.560 at 210.57 mph.

Line will face Val Smeland in the first-round of eliminations. The Shirley, New York native went 6.600 at 207.78 mph.

RBR Machine sponsored Rodger Brogdon is the No. 5 qualifier. The Houston, Texas native went 6.560 at 210.57 mph.

Brogdon will face Alex Laughlin in the first-round of eliminations. The Bluff Dale, Texas native went 6.591 at 209.04 mph.
