Tasca III wins second straight, defeats Beckman in Ohio

Bob Tasca III went from seven years to seven days between wins. For the first-time in his Funny Car career, he won back-to-back races.

Tasca III defeated Jack Beckman to win the Summit Racing Equipment NHRA Nationals at Summit Motorsports Park in Norwalk, Ohio. Tasca III won his first race in seven years last weekend in Bristol, Tennessee.

Before this final round meeting, Beckman had a 16-6 advantage over Tasca III. He also held a 1-0 advantage in final rounds over the New Hampshire native.

Beckman had the starting line advantage on Tasca III. However, a short-time later, he went up in smoke and never contended again.

Tasca III also smoked the tired, but stayed in it for the win. This is Tasca III’s sixth win of his career.
