Rays’ Brandon Lowe suffered leg contusion

The X-rays have come back negative for Tampa Bay Rays second baseman Brandon Lowe. He left Tuesday night’s game against the Baltimore Orioles.
He fouled a ball off of his right left in the bottom of the sixth inning. Afterwards, he had a limp and was in considerable pain.

However, the 24-year-old did not suffer a serious injury. He only has a contusion and is expected to be day-to-day.
Before exiting the contest, he was 3-for-3. He had a home run and two RBI’s.
The former third round pick by the Rays in the 2015 MLB Draft has spent the last two seasons with the Rays. So far this season, he has played in more games than he did during his rookie season.
This season, Lowe has appeared in 75 games. He has a .268 batting average with 15 home runs and 47 RBIs. He also has 17 doubles and two triples on 74 hits, while scoring 39 runs.
In the two seasons, he has a .257 batting average with 21 home runs and 72 RBIs in 118 games. He also has 23 doubles and four triples on 104 hits, while scoring 55 runs.
