According to The Athletic’s Ken Rosenthal, the Cleveland Indians are expected to be “aggressive” in listening to offers for pitcher Trevor Bauer. Rosenthal believes that the Indians may be willing to move Bauer now.
While the team is presently on a win streak with six straight — and back in the playoff hunt — it may be tough to deal a starter. However, on the down side, Bauer has had his name featured in trade rumors since the off-season.

In addition, Bauer will be a free agent following the 2020 season. If he remains with the Indians then, he is expected to leave as a free agent.
If he is moved, it’ll give his new team enough opportunity to potentially sign him to a contract extension.
The Indians are expected to have two starters back at some point in the second half. Corey Kluber — who also had his name mentioned in trade rumors in the off-season — has been nursing a arm injury.
Danny Salazar has been dealing with a shoulder injury. Carlos Carrasco — who was recently diagnosed with leukemia — may potentially return to the starting lineup at some point this season.
Bauer is 8-6 this season with a 3.61 ERA in 20 appearances, including 20 starts. He also has one complete game and one shut out.
He has allowed 62 runs (53 earned runs), including 17 home runs, in 132 innings on 104 hits. He also has 149 strikeouts and 51 walks through the first part of the season.
