Megan Meyer is the points leader in the Top Alcohol Dragster category in her Randy Meyer Racing Dragster. Recently, Meyer got engaged.
She posted on social media that she was engaged on Friday in Colorado.

“I said Yes!!,” she wrote on Instagram. “I’m going to marry my best friend !! 7/12/19 will be the day that marks the beginning of a new journey for us, I couldn’t imagine building this life with anyone else #engaged #futurehusbandgoals #engagedincolorado #coloradoengagement #gouldcolorado”

Meyer is not competing with her team this weekend, as Julie Nataas and Matt Sackman are competing at the NHRA Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series in the North Central Division at the Burndown at Sundown at Route 66 Raceway in Elwood, Illinois. Nataas lost in a holeshot in the first round of eliminations, while Sackman — who was the No. 1 qualifier in the class — advanced in eliminations that will continue on Sunday.
The daughter of former drag racer Randy Meyer, who owns a very successful Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series team. Meyer presently leads with 531 points, according to the NHRA website, in Top Alcohol Dragster.
She leads second-place challenger Shawn Cowie by 54 points. Meyer last collected points at the South Central Divisional race at No Problem Raceway at Belle Rose, Louisiana, on June 22nd, 2019, in a home division event.

This divisional was rescheduled from March.
At press time, no official wedding date has been announced. The young couple may take some time away to focus on her racing before she can focus on her wedding plans.
