During a drag race on Saturday at Jackson Dragway in Jackson, Tennessee, a car came onto the track. It’s not clear how the car came onto the dragstrip.
What is clear though is two cars were getting ready to race when a white car crashed into the starting area of the track. The white car had extensive damage to the front of it.
According to Competition Plus, the driver was airlifted from the scene.
A Pro Mod and an another car were getting ready to race after doing a burnout when the incident happened. The cars were shut off as all the attention went to the accident and the injured driver.
Tracy L. Brown, who posted the video on Facebook said, “Hopefully, the video you are able to see will make you more diligent about paying attention to your surroundings and the actions of others around you!”
The event was the Open Outlaw Racing event at Jackson Dragway. According to the Facebook Advertisement for the event, “Open Outlaw Racing is all heads up, no index, run what you brung, no rules drag racing! You’ll see some of the South’s fastest Blown, Turbo, and Nitrous cars! And there’s a class for record breaking blown alcohol dragsters!
