Following his arrest, he was cited by the authorities, then released.

The Cardinals were not happy with Minegar’s arrest. The team released a statement regarding the incident.

“Ron Minegar’s actions last night are inexcusable,” the team said. “He made the decision to drive after drinking alcohol and is fortunate that he was pulled over before injuring anyone or himself.

“According to MADD, drunk driving results in almost 11,000 deaths per year and is the number one cause of fatalities on roadways. We fully recognize the seriousness of these actions and they will have serious consequences.”

In 2018, Cardinals General Manager Steve Keim was arrested for DUI. ESPN, according to the story, said he was suspended for five weeks.

He was also fined $200,000 by the team.

Any punishment for Minegar will be announced at a later date.

Minegar has been with the Cardinals since 2000. Before joining the NFL franchise, he worked with Disney Sports.

Besides being the EVP and COO of the Cardinals, Minegar also is on the Board of Directors for the Arizona Chamber of Commerce, according to ABC15. He also is on the Board of Directors for the Fiesta Bowl and the Phoenix Final Four Local Organizing Committee.
