Fan dies after eating contest at Fresno Grizzlies game

During a minor league game on Tuesday, a fan died. According to the USA Today, the fan was competing in a taco eating contest before he collapsed.
The 41-year-old Dana Hutchings died before he arrived at Community Regional Medical Center. No cause of death has been announced at this time.

The story said an autopsy is expected on Hutchings on Thursday.
The Memphis Redbirds were facing the Fresno Grizzlies in the game. Hutchings collapsed during the third inning, according to the story.
Staff on scene attempted to perform the Heimlich maneuver and CPR on Hutchings, as medical professionals were dispatched to the scene. Paramedics also tried to resuscitate him upon their arrival at the game.
“We are devastated to learn that the fan that received medical attention following an event at Tuesday evening’s game has passed away,” Fresno Grizzlies President Derek Franks said in a news release, according to the Fresno Bee.
“The Fresno Grizzlies extend our heartfelt prayers and condolences to the family of Mr. Hutchings. The safety and security of our fans is our highest priority. We will work closely with local authorities and provide any helpful information that is requested.”
