College Football is back. On Saturday, College GameDay returned as well.

The show took place from Disney World in Orlando, Florida. This week’s show was to showcase the Miami (Fla.) Hurricanes and the Florida Gators game at Camping World Stadium, which is also in Orlando.

During the show, Desmond Howard made a huge error in judgement. He asked host Rece Davis, “Is Desmond Howard gonna have to choke a (expletive)?”

Davis asked if Michigan can beat Ohio State this year. That caused Howard to react the way he did.

The Buckeyes have defeated the Wolverines in every year under Jim Harbaugh.

In addition, no Michigan team has defeated Ohio State since 2011 when they won 40-34. Despite all the losing, the Wolverines have a 58-50-6 all-time record against their rivals.

Howard apologized for the comment later.

“Earlier today in the show, I’m a big Wayne Brady fan and I made a comment that was supposed to be taken as a joke,” Howard said. “If I offended anybody, I apologize. We can move on with the show.”

While Howard apologized, he may still face ramifications from his employer. ESPN has suspended talent before for comments on social media so it’s definitely possible he misses the Texas show next weekend.
