The New England Patriots have released wide receiver Antonio Brown. He previously signed a one-year deal with the team.

Brown reportedly sent threatening text messages to his second accuser, which led to his release, according to ESPN. He played one game with the Patriots.

He is presently under investigation by the NFL for sexual assault and misconduct. The allegations came after he signed with the Patriots.

This was thought to be his last chance in the league. The belief was if he couldn’t get things right with the Patriots, he couldn’t get it right with anyone.

Brown is an amazing talent. But these off the field allegations have caused teams from taking a chance on him.

Before signing with the Patriots, he worked his way out of a deal with the Oakland Raiders. He never played in a game there but was a head-case there.

He refused to play over a stupid helmet. Brown allegedly threatened to punch General Manager Mike Mayock over being fined.

That led to the Raiders releasing him.
