Kansas City Royals shortstop Adalberto Mondesí will have surgery next week on his shoulder. He is expected to miss 5-to-6 months.

Mondesí reportedly had his shoulder popped out that led to a tear. He was injured in a diving stop against the Minnesota Twins on Sunday.
