The Denver Broncos do not believe wide receiver Emmanuel Sanders is dealing with a serious injury, according to NFL Network’s James Palmer. Sanders suffered a knee injury on Sunday against the Tennessee Titans.
Fellow NFL Network Insider Ian Rapoport said that Sanders could possibly play on Thursday night. The Broncos play against the Kansas City Chiefs.
“Doesn’t appear to be at all serious,” Palmer said. “Not much concern right now even with a short week.”
Sanders was targeted three times in the contest against the Titans. He did have one reception for zero yards.
This was the second straight game that Sanders had one reception in a game for the Broncos. In Week 5, he had a nine-yard reception against the Los Angeles Clippers.
Sanders has started all five games this season. He has 24 receptions for 307 yards and two touchdowns.
Sanders is in his sixth season with the Broncos. This is his first season under new head coach Vic Fangio and his coaching staff.
He is second on the team in receiving yards. Courtland Sutton leads the team with 30 receptions for 477 yards.
