Team NOLA has added another win to its win total for the Street Outlaws No Prep Kings Season 3. Kye Kelley defeated his teammate, Scott Taylor, in the final round on Saturday night at Palm Beach International Raceway in Jupiter, Florida.
With the win, Kelley will go home $40,000 richer. Before this season and reconnecting, Kelley and Taylor were at odds with each other from the Street Outlaws New Orleans show.
This was the first-time that Taylor has made the final round on the show this season. However, it is the third-time that Kelley has made it all the way to the final round.
Back in the second episode — which will air on Monday night — Kelly lost to his girlfriend Lizzy Musi in the final round at New England Dragway in Epping, New Hampshire. When Musi won this meeting, which actually took place during Memorial Day weekend, she became the first woman to win in this series.
Kelley also lost in the final round of the No Prep Kings event at Summit Motorsports Park on Sept. 21st in Norwalk, Ohio. He was defeated by Ryan Martin in that race.
While it is Kelley’s first win on the show this season, it is the fourth win for Kye Kelley Racing. Musi won three straight races beginning with May 25th in New Hampshire.
In addition, she also won on July 15th at World Wide Technology Raceway at Gateway in Madison, Illinois. Musi and Kelley traveled nearly 3,000 miles to win at Firebird Raceway in Eagle, Idaho on July 13th.
Martin — who is the points leader going into the series finale — has three wins. The Oklahoma native won the season-opener that initially began at Maryland International Raceway in Mechanicsville, Maryland.
Due to rain, the final round was pushed back to New England Dragway. He defeated Giuseppe Gentile in the final round, which aired on the Discovery Channel last Monday.
Besides the opening win, Martin also won at Route 66 Raceway at Joliet, Illinois for the second straight year. He also won the aforementioned race at Summit Motorsports Park.
The crew will close out their season at the Texas Motorplex on Oct. 25th and 26th in Ennis, Texas. The points for this race will be doubled, so Martin will have to be eliminated in the first round for Kelley, Musi, or any other driver to have a chance at winning the championship.
