It was believed when Jeffery Simmons was drafted that he would miss the entire 2019 season. However, that is not going to be the case.
Simmons has been activated off of the reserve/NFI list on Saturday. He suffered a torn ACL before the February Combine at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis, Indiana.
He had to show the coaching staff and front office enough to be able to play after missing the first six weeks of the season. This would be an impressive recovery for the LaSalle Parish, Louisiana, who suffered the injury eight months ago.
The Titans, as expected, are expected to limit his snaps. Simmons will be worked back into the playing shape and he could potentially be back for full strength by the end of the season.
Simmons was the 19th overall pick in the 2019 NFL Draft.
