The Atlanta Falcons season has been a disaster thus far. There is questions about the future of head coach Dan Quinn.
While management and owner Arthur Blank considers Quinn’s future, now the team has to deal with questions about starting quarterback Matt Ryan. Following the team’s loss to the Los Angeles Rams, the signal-caller was seen in a walking boot.
During his post-game press conference, Quinn did not address Ryan’s injury. However, it appeared like Ryan had trouble putting weight on his right leg as he went to the locker room during the fourth quarter of the game.
According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, Ryan will have an MRI on his ankle on Monday. However, the team, as of this post, does not believe it will be a serious injury.
The Falcons were destroyed 37-10 by the Rams on Sunday. In that contest, Ryan went 16 of 27 for 159 yards. He also threw an interception.
Matt Schaub, the backup quarterback, went 6 of 6 for 65 yards. He also threw a touchdown.
The 34-year-old Exton, Pennsylvania native has gone 202 of 285 for 2,170 yards. He has thrown 15 touchdown passes and eight interceptions through seven games.
