The Baltimore Ravens have re-signed wide receiver Willie Snead IV to a contract extension. He will now be with the team through at least the 2020 season.
The extension is a one-year deal. Under the new agreement, he will receive $6 million for the 2020 season.
It is a nice boost in pay, as he was making just $3 million in base salary this season. He also had a $1 million signing bonus and a $1 million roster bonus for the 2019 season.
The 27-year-old Winter Park, Florida native has made seven appearances, including five starts with the Ravens this season. He has 15 receptions for 223 yards and two touchdowns.
He also has one carry for two yards.
On Sunday, it was the first game of the 2019 season that he did not register a catch. He was targeted once in the 30-16 win, but did not make that reception.
His best game of the season came in Week 4 against the Cleveland Browns. He had two receptions for 61 yards and a touchdown.
Snead’s other touchdown reception came against the Miami Dolphins in the season-opener. He had two receptions for 41 yards with the touchdown.
He has had four games where he has had more than 40 receiving yards. Besides the aforementioned games against the Browns and the Dolphins, he also had 47 receiving yards against the Kansas City Chiefs on Week 2 and 51 receiving yards against the Pittsburgh Steelers in Week 5.
