Mopar/Pennzoil sponsored Funny Car Pilot is getting in a groove at the right time. The Christiansburg, Virginia native has won the past two NHRA national events.

He defeated Jonnie Lindberg in the final round of the Dodge NHRA Nationals presented by Pennzoil at The Strip at Las Vegas Motor Speedway in Las Vegas, Nevada. Hagan went 3.876 at 331.36 mph to claim his fourth Wally of the season.

The Brownsburg, Indiana went 3.945 at 321.12 mph in the losing effort.

“I’m telling you what, I’m excited and fired up right now,” Hagan said. “When you have that opportunity to come into the Pomona still in the championship hunt, that is why we do this. That’s what gets me fired up and motivated, and I’m just so proud of my guys. They’re killing it and they all just rise to occasion. I feed off that and coming into Pomona, I wish it were tomorrow.

“To come out and turn four win lights on at a Dodge-sponsored race, that’s a fairy tale. It’s hard to win back-to-back races, and it just shows you what we’re capable of. We’re going into Pomona and we’re going to work as hard as we can.”

This is Hagan’s second straight race win. He also won the AAA Texas NHRA FallNationals at the Texas Motorplex in October 20.

The Hulk also won the NHRA New England Nationals on July 7 at New England Dragway in Epping, New Hampshire. He also won the MagicDry Organic Absorbent NHRA Arizona Nationals on February 24 at Wild Horse Pass Motorsports Park in Chandler, Arizona.
