Howard Bison head football coach Ron Prince has been placed on administrative leave, according to FootballScoop. The Bison are 1-8 under Prince in 2019.

He is expected to be paid during his leave. In addition, he will not be coaching against South Carolina State Bulldogs on Saturday, Nov. 9.

Prince may not coach the team during its final two games of the season on Nov. 16 against Florida A&M Rattlers and then the season finale on Nov. 23 against the Morgan State Bears.

Bison players have alleged abuse by Prince for some time. Even, Cam Newton’s brother — who used to be the starting quarterback of the 2019 team in Caylin Newton — alleged abuse by Prince that led to his transfer.
