The College Football Playoff Committee released their second Top 25 of the 2019 season on Tuesday night. There was a change at the top spot.
Following a win over the Alabama Crimson Tide, the LSU Tigers are now the No. 1 team in the country, according to the committee. They took the stop spot from the Ohio State Buckeyes, who were ranked No. 1 in the previous week’s Top 25.
The Buckeyes fell to the No. 2 spot. The Clemson Tigers moves up two spots to the No. 3 spot.
The Georgia Bulldogs are the new No. 4 team in the Top 25.
Two teams from last week’s ranking were knocked out of the Top 4. The Crimson Tide is now the No. 5 ranked team after the loss to the Tigers.
Then, the Penn State Nittany Lions we’re knocked out of the No. 4 spot. The undefeated Minnesota Golden Gophers shocked the Nittany Lions with one of its biggest football wins in program history.
Besides the Crimson Tide being the first team out, the Oregon Ducks are the second team out with their No. 6 ranking.
