In addition, this is his 24th No. 1 qualifier of his career.

“It’s a little bit disturbing how relaxed I’ve been coming into this weekend,” Torrence said, who has nine wins in 2019. “I’ve been in this situation before and come here with the lead, and it didn’t pan out the way we wanted it to. We came here last year and were already the champs, but you just have to step back and look at what we’re doing here. It’s the final race of the year and you need to go four rounds. Tomorrow, it’s going to be sudden death. You’ve got Brittany and I, and we’ll try to keep Doug (Kalitta) from jumping on us, and try to keep my dad from getting there, too.”

The Kilgore, Texas native will face Cameron Ferré in the first-round of eliminations. The Huntington Beach, California native went 3.955 at 301.81 mph.

Mopar/Pennzoil sponsored Top Fuel Dragster pilot Leah Pritchett is the No. 2 qualifier. The Avon, Indiana native went 3.694 at 322.88 mph.

She will face Scott Palmer in the first-round of eliminations. The Cassville, Missouri native went 3.775 at 328.14 mph.

Parts Plus/Laris Motorsports Insurance Top Fuel Dragster pilot Clay Millican is the No. 3 qualifier. The Drummonds, Tennessee native went 3.699 at 328.30 mph.

Millican will face rookie Justin Ashley in the first-round of eliminations. The Plainview, New York native went 3.763 at 318.32 mph.

Scrappers Racing Top Fuel Dragster pilot Mike Salinas is the No. 4 qualifier. The San Jose, California native went 3.699 at 327.11 mph.

Salinas will face Richie Crampton in the first-round of eliminations. The Brownsburg, Indiana native went 3.751 at 325.45 mph.
