“We appreciate Coach Bradford’s longtime commitment to the football program and to the University, and we wish him well,” Athletic Director Katherine Robbins said. “Our program is moving in a new direction, and we will be looking for a new head coach to lead the Fighting Scots.”

He was named the school’s interim head coach in 2017. He guided the school to a 7-4 record. He also had a 6-5 record in 2018, before the 3-8 record in 2019.

As the Fighting Scots head coach, he went 16-17.

Before his appointment as head coach, he was at the school for 18 seasons as an assistant coach. Ten of those 18 seasons were spent as Defensive Coordinator.

In his final season as the school’s football leader, the team began with a four-game losing streak. Their first win of the season came in an 18-17 win over the Gannon Golden Knights on Oct. 5.

The team then lost two straight games before defeating the Seton Hill Griffins on Oct. 26. The team also defeated the Clarion Golden Eagles on Nov. 2 before losing games to the Indiana University of Pennsylvania Crimson Hawks and the Bloomsburg Huskies.
