Dog urination fiasco causes Bulldogs to win 2019 Egg Bowl

The Ole Miss Rebels season came to an end on a wild ending. The sequence then led to a missed extra point.

Mississippi State Bulldogs won 21-20 over the Rebels on Thanksgiving Day at Davis Wade Stadium in Starkville, Mississippi.

The win makes the Bulldogs Bowl eligible with a 6-6 record. The Rebels ended their season with a 4-8 record.

This is the second straight win in the Egg Bowl for the Bulldogs. However, this one will be marred by a urinating dog celebration that ultimately hurt the Rebels.

Matt Corral hit Elijah Moore with a touchdown late in the contest. Then, Moore decided to make the decision that he made to hurt his teammates with his dog urination action in the end zone.

Luke Logan then missed the extra point following the penalty. Mississippi State recovered the extra point and the game was over.

Bulldogs quarterback Garrett Shrader went 10 of 14 for 108 yards.

Kylin Hill had 27 carries for 132 yards. Deddrick Thomas had four receptions for 49 yards.

Rebels quarterback Corral went 6 of 12 for 124 yards. He had one touchdown and one interception.

Jerrion Ealy had 15 carries for 82 yards and a touchdown. Braylon Sanders had two receptions for 88 yards.

The Bulldogs outscored the Rebels 7-6 in the second half. Shrader scored on a five-yard rushing touchdown.

Corral hit Moore for the two-yard touchdown reception.

The game was tied at 14 at halftime. Nick Gibson scored on a 27-yard rushing touchdown.

Shrader scored on a one-yard rushing touchdown.

John Rhys Plumlee scored on a two-yard rushing touchdown. Ealy scored on a five-yard rushing touchdown.
