New information has come out regarding the Terrelle Pryor situation from Black Friday. The Pittsburgh Bureau of Police has posted on social media that Pryor has been arrested despite being in the hospital.
The authorities believe that it was “mutual combatants” of the incident. Pryor was allegedly stabbed in his chest and stomach, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter.
The Bureau of Police said they responded to UPMC Mercy Hospital on November 30th “for a male stabbing victim, who had arrived there in critical condition by private means just after 4:30 am.”
After investigating the incident, it was later determined that the individual’s injuries had happened earlier after a dispute at an apartment at the 200 block of Heinz Street.
During the altercation, the authorities said that a female was also injured. The Allegheny County District Attorney’s Office has decided to charge both of individuals.
Shalaya Briston, 24, was charged with Criminal Attempt Homicide. She is also facing Aggravated Assault.
Pryor, 30, has been charged with Simple Assault.
“The Pittsburgh Bureau of Police understands there is a heightened level of interest in this case, but Police will not be conducting interviews or holding a news conference at this time,” the statement said.
