The Indianapolis Colts priority was to re-sign tight end Jack Doyle before he hit the free agent market. The team was able to do that on Friday.
The team agreed to a three-year deal with Doyle. He will receive $21 million.
However, if he can reach incentives in his deal, he can earn up to $24 million. According to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport, these are considered “attainable” incentives.
He was making $5.1 million in the final year of his contract this season.
This new deal will kick in with the 2020 season. He will be with the Colts through at least the 2022 season.
