Penn State has re-signed head football coach James Franklin on Friday. He is now signed through the 2025 season.

It’s a new six-year agreement that he signed today. The school’s Board of Trustees has already approved the contract.

Financial terms were not disclosed on this new contract. He has three years added to his old agreement that was slated to end following the 2022 season.

Franklin has spent the last six seasons as the Nittany Lions head coach. He is 55-23 during his tenure at the school.

He has guided the program to 10 wins three of the last four seasons. During the 2019 season, Franklin guided the program to a 10-2 mark.

Penn State had the second-best record in the Big Ten East Division. Only the Ohio State Buckeyes had a better record with their 12-0 record.
