The Portland Trail Blazers suffered another injury in the first two months of the season. On Friday night, Rodney Hood suffered a season-ending Achilles injury.
He suffered the injury at the Moda Center against the Los Angeles Lakers in Portland, Oregon. The team has confirmed this injury.
Hood was injured with 3:29 left in the first quarter. He went up for a rebound against Lakers center JaVale McGee.
Moments later, he secured the rebound before falling to the ground in pain. The Blazers medical staff then came over to tend to him.
He had to be helped off of the court. He went back to the locker room to undergo tests that confirmed his season-ending injury.
According to ESPN, he previously injured his Achilles on Wednesday against the Sacramento Kings.
