Any chance of a Pac-12 Conference being represented in the College Football Playoff has gone up in smoke. At least that’s the belief following the Pac-12 Conference Championship game.
The (13) Oregon Ducks defeated (5) Utah Utes, 37-15, on Friday night at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, California.

With the win, the Ducks are now 11-2 on the season. They also finished conference play with an 8-1 conference mark.
The Utes suffered their first conference loss of the season and fell to 8-1 on the year. Utah also ended their regular season with an 11-2 record.
Also, the Ducks have clinched their berth in the Rose Bowl on New Year’s Day. They will face the winner of the Big Ten Conference Championship between the Wisconsin Badgers and the Ohio State Buckeyes.
Ducks quarterback Justin Herbert went 14 of 26 for 193 yards. He had one touchdown pass.
CJ Verdell had 18 carries for 208 yards and three touchdowns. Johnny Johnson III had six receptions for 87 yards and a touchdown.
Utes quarterback Tyler Huntley went 17 of 29 for 193 yards. He also had two touchdown passes and two interceptions.
Zack Moss had 19 carries for 113 yards. Moss also had four receptions for 57 yards and a touchdown.
Oregon outscored Utah 17-15 in the second half. Verdell scored two second half touchdowns. He first scored on a 70-yard rushing touchdown.
Verdell also scored on a 31-yard rushing touchdown. Camden Lewis also made a 25-yard field goal.
Utes’ Huntley hit Moss to a 24-yard touchdown reception. Huntley also hit Samson Nacua for a 25-yard touchdown reception.
Following the score, Huntley hit Nacua for the two-point conversion.
The Ducks led 20-0 at halftime. Verdell scored on a three-yard rushing touchdown. Herbert also hit Johnson III for a 45-yard touchdown reception.
Lewis made two field goal attempts. He first made a 23-yard field goal attempt, then a 30-yard field goal attempt.
