As a result, the Meyer’s are missing the PRI show in Indianapolis, Indiana. The incident happened on the highway.

The younger Meyer — who is the reigning Top Alcohol Dragster Champion — left the scene in an ambulance. However, she suffered only minor injuries, the team’s social media account said.

The older Meyer was in the passenger seat of the vehicle when the accident happened. He did not require medical attention.

The post said “most of the damage was on the driver’s side of Megan’s car.”

Besides missing PRI, the team will also miss the Division 3, the North Central Region, next week. The post said that the two “are staying home to rest up.”

Apparently a distracted driver caused the accident.

“Please don’t drive distracted, and always wear your seat belt,” the post ends.
