WWE Hall of Famer Rocky Johnson passed away at 75

The World Wrestling Entertainment community suffered a loss on Wednesday. Rocky Johnson, the wrestling Hall of Famer, has died.

He was 75. An official cause of death has not been announced at the time of this post.

Johnson —- whose real name is Wayde Douglas Bowles —- also wrestled as Sweet Ebony Diamond and Drew Glasteau. He also had three children.

One of those children is “The Rock” Dwayne Johnson. The popular actor began in the WWE before turning his focus to making movies.

Johnson was active from 1964 through 1991. He had 27-years in-ring experience at the time of his retirement.

The “Soulman” was trained by Peter Maivia and Kurt von Steiger. His signature move was the Boston Crab.

His last known event was a boxing match against Mabel at the Memphis Wrestling: A Night Fit for a King on Nov. 29, 2003. The event was held at the Mid-South Coliseum in Memphis, Tennessee.

Johnson, according to Cagematch, appeared in 1,685 matches. He won 1,085 matches in his career.
