The San Francisco 49ers are back in the Super Bowl. This is the franchise’s seventh Super Bowl appearance.
The 49ers defeated the Green Bay Packers, 37-20, on Sunday evening at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, California.
San Francisco is 5-1 all-time in the big game. Their only loss came in Super Bowl XLVII when they were defeated 34-31 by the Baltimore Ravens.
Super Bowl LIV will take place on February 2nd in Miami, Florida. The 49ers will face the Kansas City Chiefs in the biggest game of the season.
49ers quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo went 6 of 8 for 77 yards.
Raheem Mostert had 29 carries for 220 yards and four touchdowns. Deebo Samuel had two receptions for 46 yards.
“I did have a lot of doubters and naysayers,” said Mostert, who has been cut seven times in his career. “Now I get to actually tell them, ‘Look where I’m at now.’
“I never gave up on my dreams.”
Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers went 31 of 39 for 326 yards. He had two touchdown passes and two interceptions.
Aaron Jones had 12 carries for 56 yards and a touchdown. Davante Adams had nine receptions for 138 yards.
Green Bay outscored San Francisco, 20-10, in the second half. Rodgers hit Jones for a nine-yard touchdown reception.
Jones also scored on a one-yard rushing touchdown. Following this score, the two-point conversion attempt failed.
Rodgers hit Jace Sternberger for an eight-yard touchdown reception.
49ers’ Mostert scored on a 22-yard rushing touchdown. Robbie Gould also made a 42-yard field goal.
The 49ers led 27-0 at halftime. Mostert scored on an 18-yard rushing touchdown. He also scored on a nine-yard rushing touchdown.
Mostert scored on a 36-yard rushing touchdown. Gould also made two field goals.
