Rollins Tars men’s lacrosse player Joey Cinque has died. He was 21.
An official cause of death has not been revealed. However, the school did say he died unexpectedly on Sunday morning.
The school are making services available to the students this week to help cope with his death. The Tars do not begin their season until Sunday, February 9th against Molloy Lions.

This is the second time that the program has been rocked by death in recent memory. In February 2015, Will Hauver passed away from an illness.
As a sophomore in 2019, he appeared in 15 games, including 13 starts. He had 30 goals and three assists for 33 points in his final collegiate season.
Cinque was third on the team in scoring. He was also third on the team in assists.

In 2018, he was named to the All Sunshine State Conference Freshman Team. He appeared in 14 games, including 12 starts that season.
He led the team with 30 goals. Cinque had 31 points on the season with his one assist.

He is survived by his father Fleur and brother James.
