Pro Stock will be the lone non-Nitro category this weekend at Auto Club Raceway at Pomona in Pomona, California. They will take part in the 60th annual Lucas Oil NHRA Winternationals presented by ProtectTheHarvest.com from Friday through Sunday.
This will be one of 18 events for Pro Stock this season. Also, this event will give teams an indication of what to expect throughout the season after their off-season work.
Bo Butner III will attempt to win his third straight Winternationals. Jason Line is the last driver to win a Winternationals in 2016.
It was those two drivers, who went to the final round in 2019. Butner III defeated Line to begin the season last year.
The Floyds Knobs. Indiana native went 6.572 at 211.59 mph to win the Wally. The Troutman, North Carolina native went 7.160 at 148.58 mph in the losing effort.
Both KB Racing representatives will be on the property. Fellow KB Racing drivers Greg Anderson, Deric Kramer, Fernando Cuadra, Fernando Cuadra Jr, and Cristian Cuadra.
Elite Motorsports will have a stacked roster on the property, as well. Their driver lineup includes Erica Enders, Jeg Coughlin Jr., Alex Laughlin, Aaron Stanfield, and Martin Robertson, who is a newcomer.
Kenny Delco Racing will be back with Kenny Delco and Val Smeland as they drivers. Full-timer Chris McGaha and Matthew Hartford will be back.
Alan Prusiensky will be back driving in Pro Stock. Last October in Dallas, he was involved in a wreck that caused the New Jersey native to suffer a broken back.
Part-timers Joey Grove, Tom Huggins, and Steve Graham will also be competing at the Winternationals.
