The Tampa Bay Buccaneers will have a new quarterback for the 2020 season. In fact, he is one of the greatest quarterbacks of all time.

Tom Brady has agreed in principle on a one-year deal with the Buccaneers. He can officially sign with the Bucs on Wednesday, March 18th at 4 pm EST when the new league year starts.

The Los Angeles Chargers and the Buccaneers were the two front-runners after he announced he would not be returning to the Patriots on Tuesday morning. After the Chargers backed out, Brady agreed in principle to a one-year, $30 million deal.

At this time, it is only agreed in principle, because no contracts, which were agreed upon during this two-plus days of legal tampering, can be become official until Wednesday when the new league starts.

Brady will now work with Bruce Arians, the Buccaneers head coach. Arians has been dropping hints, even at the scouting combine, that the team would be moving on from Jameis Winston, who is a free agent.

The legendary quarterback started every game for the Patriots in 2019. As a starter, he guided the team to a 12-4 regular season record.
