Cedric Marks is in serious trouble with the law. The 45-year-old former mixed martial arts fighter is being accused of killing two people in Texas, according to ESPN.com.
He is one of two individuals, who have been charged in a woman’s death in 2009. The woman in question was allegedly abducted from a Minnesota domestic violence shelter, according to the authorities, before her death.
Marks has been charged in the murder of April Pease. He is facing a second-degree charge for her murder.
In addition, besides Marks, Kellee Sorensen is also allegedly the second-person involved, who is facing second-degree murder charge in her case, as well.
The authorities have said that Marks and Pease were involved in a custody battle.
Marks may have killed two other individuals, as well. The authorities believe he is the prime suspect in the killing of a man and a woman in Texas last January.
In the post on ESPN.com, it is not clear how the man was killed. Nor, does it release much details about that case.
However, Marks and Sorensen reportedly traced down Pease at a shelter in Washington State. The authorities did not say how these two individuals found out that she was there.
They allegedly forced her to move to a Bloomington, Minnesota shelter. Once she was in Minnesota, these two individuals allegedly took her against her will.
The authorities then allege that Marks and Sorensen killed Pease at some point. They also say that Marks and Sorensen removed Pease’s teeth and hands. This was an attempt to not have her identified.
One of the women that Marks was married to claimed to the authorities that Pease is buried “somewhere in one of the Dakotas.” It’s not clear if her body has ever been discovered.
The Bremerton, Washington native went 30-27-1 during his MMA career, according to Sherdog.com. He had lost his last six bouts, including a loss against Edmilson Freitas at RXMMA – Rocks Xtreme MMA 23 by TKO (Strikes) in the first-round at 2:42 on March 10, 2018.
His last win ever in his professional MMA carer came against Thomas Gifford at AFP- Fight Night at the IKE 3 by KO (Punch) in the second-round at 0:15 on April 21, 2012.
