Brodie Lee was not the only former WWE wrestler to debut on AEW Dynamite on Wednesday night. At the tail end of the show, Matt Hardy also appeared.
Hardy became a free agent earlier this month when his WWE contract expired. He said that he left the company because of creative differences with the Stamford, Connecticut brand.
The North Carolina native will team up with The Elite next Wednesday night at “Blood and Guts.” This event was supposed to be hosted at the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey.
However, due to the coronavirus outbreak, the virus caused the show to be moved. This week’s show was also moved due to the virus, as well.
Instead of being in Rochester, New York, it was hosted in Jacksonville, Florida.
At “Blood and Guts,” Hardy will partner with “Hangman” Adam Page, Matt Jackson, Cody, and Kenny Omega. They will face the Inner Circle, which features Chris Jericho, Jake Hager, Sammy Guevara, Santana and Ortíz.
This will be Hardy’s first match on AWW Dynamite on March 25th. Earlier this month, Hardy was on “Being The Elite” on YouTube featuring The Young Bucks.
Near the middle of the show, Lee — who was known as Luke Harper in the WWE — debuted as the Exalted One and became the leader of Dark Order. He has aligned himself with Evil Uno, Stu Grayson, John Silver, and Alex Reynolds.
Harper attacked Christopher Daniels after a video aired on the big screen. Prior to the attack, Daniels questioned the existence of the Exalted One.
Grayson and Evil Uno attacked Frankie Kazarian at the same time that Lee took out Daniels.
