The Los Angeles Rams have re-signed offensive lineman Andrew Whitworth. It is a three-year deal.
This come after he considered retirement last off-season before eventually coming back to the Rams on a one-year deal. In this particular deal, Whitworth will have an opportunity to make $30 million in this deal.
If he reaches all incentivized, his deal could go as high as $37.5 million. Whitworth, though, is guaranteed to make $12.5 million.
This is the highest paid contract to a player — who was not a quarterback — 35-years-old or older in NFL history.
Whitworth has been one of the best tackles since he began his career. He anchors a line that helps protect Jared Goff.
