The Chicago Bulls are wasting no time in hiring their new front office. After Artūras Karnišovas was named as the team’s new Vice President of Basketball Operations, the Bulls hired JJ Polk on Friday.
Polk will serve as the team’s new Assistant General Manager. Karnišovas has began to interview candidates for the GM role.

Karnišovas wanted to hire Polk all along after initially being hired by the Bulls. Polk is known around league circles as a cap specialist.
Before his hire by the Bulls, he spent nearly a decade with the New Orleans Pelicans.
Polk was the Pelicans executive director of basketball administration for seven years before this move.
He will now be in charge of helping with the Bulls salary cap.
Before his hire by the Bulls, the Pelicans was the first team that Polk worked for in the NBA. Before joining the Association, he worked in law for six years.
He also has a law degree from the University of Illinois.
Polk is not expected to be the only Assistant GM on the team under Karnišovas’ new leadership, according to ESPN. The worldwide leader in sports also is reporting that Denver Nuggets scout Pat Connelly could also join the Bulls as an Assistant GM, as well.
He was previously an assistant GM with the Phoenix Suns.
