According to the Douglas County Sheriff Department, Washington Redskins wide receiver Cody Latimer was arrested early Saturday morning at the Zenith Meridian Apartments in Englewood, Colorado. The apartments just happen to be a short distance away from the Denver Broncos practice facility.

Latimer — who signed with the Washington Redskins in the off-season — is the third NFL player in trouble with the law this week. Deandre Baker and Quinton Dunbar were allegedly involved in an armed robbery late Wednesday night.

The authorities were called to the apartment for a call of shots fired inside one of the apartments. While they were on their way to the scene, the deputies learned that there was an argument. The reporting party also claimed that they believed they heard gunshots within the apartment.

However, after doing their investigation, it was discovered that there was not gunshots in the apartment. There were three people at the apartment in question, according to the Sheriff Department.

All three individuals were detained initially. One of the individuals was injured from what the authorities claim was not from a gunshot wound.

Near the end of their investigation, Latimer was taken into custody. He was then transported to the Douglas County Detention Facility in Castle Rock, Colorado.

The Redskins wide receiver has been charged with three felonies and two misdemeanors. The felonies include Assault in the Second Degree, Menacing, and Illegal Discharge of a Firearm.

The misdemeanors include Prohibited Use of a Weapon and Reckless Endangerment.

While Latimer has been arrested, there is still an ongoing active investigation.
