According to KTLA, Hall of Famer Kareem Abdul-Jabbar’s son Adam was arrested this week. He was allegedly arrested for stabbing his neighbor in San Clemente, the Orange County Sheriff’s Department announced.
The 28-year-old was booked into jail on an assault with a deadly weapon charge. After being booked on the charge, he has since bailed out, Carrie Braun with the Orange County Sheriff’s Department said.
The crime reportedly happened approx. 10 pm Tuesday night local time, according to Braun.
The victim suffered several injuries allegedly at the hands of Abdul-Jabbar. The person, who was hurt during the attack, is expected to make a full recovery and live.
It’s not clear what led the authorities to Abdul-Jabbar. But he was arrested without an incident.
There are no other details at this time on the incident. No booking photo has been made available to the media yet, Braun said.
