The Sacramento Kings will be without power forward Marvin Bagley III for the rest of the season. He will not play during the NBA restart in Orlando, Florida.

He has been dealing with a right foot injury. While he will miss the eight games left in the regular season in Orlando – and potentially a playoff appearance – he is expected to make a full recovery.

Besides being the power forward, Bagley III also played center for the Kings. According to ESPN’s depth chart, Richaun Holmes is listed as the starting center. Harry Giles III and Alex Len is also on the depth chart at center with Bagley III sidelined.

The 21-year-old Tempe, Arizona native was the second overall pick by the Kings in the 2018 NBA Draft. He has played the last two seasons in Sacramento.

This season, though, has been a disaster, as he has been hampered by injuries. He appeared in just 13 games, including six starts during the 2019-20 season.

When Bagley III did play, he averaged 14.2 points with 7.5 rebounds, 0.8 assists, 0.5 steals, and 0.9 blocks in 25.7 minutes per game.

Bagley III has not played for the Kings since January 20th, 2020. He was inactive for each game from January 22nd through March 8 before the league was shut down on March 11th due to a positive coronavirus test by Utah Jazz center Rudy Gobert.

In his final game of the season, he had 15 points in a loss to the Miami Heat on January 20th. He also had 15 rebounds, two assists, and one steal in 38 minutes and 24 seconds.
